Disaster Recovery – How Closrr Keeps Your Data Safe

Closrr's infrastructure has several redundancies in place to keep your website safe and secure in case of a disaster. Even in the unlikely event of a natural disaster wiping out an entire data center, we’ve still got you covered.

1. Closrr utilizes Amazon Web Services

We use Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host all websites. It’s one of the biggest and most reliable cloud computing providers in the world. Not only do they have state-of-the-art data centers designed to withstand disasters, but they’re also using the same technology and hardware that runs websites like Amazon.com. Recognized as some of the most energy-efficient and secure in the world, AWS’ years of data center innovation powers every WordPress site hosted at Closrr.

2. Automatic Snapshots of every site

By default*, Closrr automatically creates backups of every WordPress site every 24 hours.

The above automatic backups, start at the Business or higher plans. However, you can request backups, when you’re on a Premium plan, as a paid add-on.

Additionally, you can get backups every 12, 6 and every 1 hour, depending on your business needs.

3. Server-Level backups

Besides automatic site backups, Closrr also creates and stores backups, securely and off-site, of every server in our infrastructure every 24 hours for 30 days. This means that if a server ever becomes unusable or corrupted for any reason, we would have a backup of our entire infrastructure we could use to restore all data.

4. We monitor Uptime of all sites

We check the status of all websites we host every 5 minutes. That translates to 144 checks for each of your sites every day. If we notice something wrong on your site, our team will typically start working on the site, before you even realize there is a problem.

5. We keep you informed

For any issues affecting the sites hosted on Closrr, system-wide outage or network event, these will be posted on our status page.
