Unpaid Invoices

Managed WordPress Hosting plans are always pre-paid, and your hosting subscription renews each period (monthly or annually). Your bank card will be charged for the amount of your Managed WordPress Hosting plan, and any overage charges or add-ons each month on the same date you signed up for service. For example, if you signed up on June 11th, you would be charged immediately for your first month, and then on July 11th, you will be billed for your second month, in case of monthly billing. Same applies for annual billing, but in annual terms.

Unpaid invoice notice

If there’s an issue with payment, and you have an unpaid invoice, you’ll receive an email notification with the invoice details and options to add a new card here.

Important note: After several automatic payment attempts, the invoice will be considered failed, and will only be able to be processed manually. If we are unable to charge your primary card for some reason, we may attempt payment with any additional card(s) on file to settle the outstanding invoice(s).

We exclusively use Stripe as our credit card processor; we don’t accept PayPal payments. However, for Managed WordPress annual Business plans or higher, we do accept wire transfers.

Payment attempts

During the first 7 days, after the first payment attempt fails, our billing system will automatically try to process the payment again. If payment is successful, there’s nothing further to do.

However, if these payment attempt fail, our billing system will suspend (not cancel) your plans and services automatically. In short, once an invoice has been unpaid for 8 days, the associated plans and services will be suspended. A grace period of 7 days will start, so you can settle the unpaid invoice(s).

In case of a Managed WordPress Hosting plan, during the suspension period, the font-end of the site might still be accessible, however, some or all functionalities of the site might be affected. The back-end (/wp-admin), will be fully suspended.

After 14 days of the first failed payment attempt, our billing system will try a last payment attempt. If this last one fails too, your plans and services will be automatically terminated. All of your sites (both live and staging environments if applicable), and databases associated with the canceled plan will be automatically and permanently deleted.

If you have any issues with your payment, please don’t hesitate to contact us during this 14-day period by opening a support ticket on dash.closrr.com

Suspension and termination of plans and services

  • We will suspend or terminate all plans and services (including those that have the payments up to date) if they are associated with an unpaid plan or service under the same account.
  • When plans and services are suspended, the font-end of the site might still be accessible, however, some or all functionalities of the site might be impacted.
  • If plans and services are terminated, all data, including any backups (where applicable), will be permanently deleted. This means all of your sites (including both live and staging environments if applicable), applications, or databases associated with the canceled plan will be automatically and permanently deleted.

Annual Managed WordPress Plans

Most of our customers opt for monthly plans, and most descriptions of our billing processes are written for this term. If you opt for an annual plan, there are some slight differences:

  • Payment for your Managed WordPress Hosting plan will be charged on the date of signup and then once per year on the renewal date. For example, if you sign up on June 11th, you’ll pay for a full year of hosting, and your next plan renewal will occur the following June 11th.
  • Payments for other services, overages and add-ons, are processed every month. For example, if you signed up for an annual plan on June 11th and then signed up for a monthly add-on, incurred an overage, the add-ons, overages, etc., will be charged to the card on file on July 11th. Failed payments for overages or add-ons can result in suspension or termination of an account, even if the annual plan has the payment up to date.
